Guest Lecturer definition

Guest Lecturer is a person engaged by reason of professional status or unique qualifications to give occasional lectures or seminars, making up a part of a course. For purposes of further clarifying this definition “occasional”, shall normally not be more than three (3) lectures or seminars per course per semester. It is understood that the use of a guest lec- turer(s) shall not result in any loss of pay for an employee hired to teach that particular course.
Guest Lecturer means a person who does not hold a certificate to teach as an EMS instructor, assistant EMS instructor, continuing education instructor or special topic instructor and provides instruction or assistance in an EMS training program or EMS continuing education program under the auspices of a holder of a certificate to teach.
Guest Lecturer means an individual with specialized subject matter expertise, who on occasion, instructs a specific topic of curriculum under the direction of the program director.

  • Optional: Upon request, TWU shall provide Guest Lecturer a digital copy at no cost to Guest Lecturer for their own personal use.

  • Guest Lecturer agrees to submit to TWU a written invoice for payment before services are rendered or within ten (10) business days of completion of services.

  • Guest Lecturer shall submit any relevant notice of a claim to the Vice President for Finance and Administration of TWU.

  • The Guest Lecturer certifies that upon the date Guest Lecturer executes this Agreement, the Guest Speaker is not delinquent in payment of any State of Taxes corporate franchise taxes.

  • TWU may photograph and may record the Performance in any manner, with such photos and any audio and video recordings (altogether the “Recordings”) being the sole property of TWU; however TWU will provide Guest Lecturer a digital copy of the Recordings at Guest Lecturer’s request for their own personal (non-commercial) use.

Guest Lecturer or “speaker” means a natural person, not employed by the provider, who speaks at an approved seminar and whose resume is furnished by the course provider with the course application.
