Hospital organization definition

Hospital organization means an or- ganization recognized (or seeking to be recognized) as described in section 501(c)(3) that operates one or more hos- pital facilities. If the section 501(c)(3) status of such an organization is re- voked, the organization will, for pur- poses of section 4959, continue to be treated as a hospital organization dur- ing the taxable year in which such rev- ocation becomes effective.
