INDEX ACCOUNT. This account holds shares in the Stock Index Fund of the TIAA-CREF Life Funds, which maintains a broadly diversified portfolio consisting primarily of common stocks selected to track the overall U.S. stock market. The separate account charge is 1.2% per year of the separate account's net assets. TIAA-CREF Life may choose to waive a portion of the separate account charge.
