On any given Index Business Day following the Index Base Date (any such day, a "Total Return Index Rebalancing Day"), the "Total Return Index" may be partially rebalanced from the Base Index into the Deleverage Position as a result of the volatility control feature.
As such, any historical returns or any hypothetical simulations based on such back-tested data or analyses with respect to the period from the Index Base Date to the date on which Financial Products are first implemented (which may be materially later than the Index Base Date), may not reflect the performance of, and are no guarantee or assurance in respect of the performance or returns of, the Index over any time period.

The Index Closing Level (as defined in paragraph 2 (Calculation of the Index Closing Level) below) for each Index will be calculated by the Index Sponsor on each Index Business Day following the relevant Index Base Date and made available as soon as reasonably practicable after the Index Valuation Time on each Index Business Day in accordance with paragraph 8 (Availability of Index Closing Levels and Adjustments) below.
