Index Futures definition

Index Futures means any stock exchange index futures and/or options which are from time to time traded on the HKFE.
Index Futures shall have the meaning set forth in the Trust Agreement.
Index Futures means, as limited by Schedule E hereto, futures contracts (which must be U.S.-exchange traded and U.S. dollar denominated) based on the following indices, or their respective successor indices: S&P 500 Index, Xxxxxxx 1000 Index, Xxxxxxx 2000 Index, S&P Mid-Cap 400 Index and MSCI EAFE Index or such other indices as may be permitted (and subject to such terms as may be specified) in writing by the Warranty Provider in its sole discretion, which approval shall be evidenced by an amendment to Schedule E.

  • Illustration with Index Futures In case the Nifty spot is trading at say, Rs. 11,700, and the fund manager has a view that it will depreciate going forward; the Scheme can initiate a sell transaction of Nifty futures at Rs. 11,736 without holding a portfolio of equity stocks or any other underlying long equity position.

  • Index Futures maybe used by the Fund to hedge against market downturns (shorting the index) or benefit from a bullish outlook on the market (going long on the index).

  • The Scheme while investing in equities shall transact in exchange traded equity derivatives only and these instruments may take the form of Index Futures, Index Options, Futures and Options on individual equities/securities and such other derivative instruments as may be appropriate and permitted under the SEBI Regulations and guidelines from time to time.

  • Neither MSCI, any of its affiliates not any other party involved in, or related to, making or compiling the MSCI Indexes has any obligation to take the needs of the issuers of the Contracts, the owners of the MSCI Index Futures or the Exchange into consideration in determining, composing or calculating any MSCI Indexes.

  • In case of equity derivatives, the Scheme may transact in exchange traded equity derivatives only and these instruments may take the form of Index Futures, Index Options, Futures and Options on individual equities/securities and such other derivative instruments as may be appropriate and permitted under the SEBI Regulations and guidelines from time to time.

Index Futures means index futures contracts on the S&P GSCI™ Excess Return Index that are listed and traded on a Futures Exchange.
