Inpatient facility definition

Inpatient facility means a public or private hospital or unit of a hospital which has as its primary purpose the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of mental illness, developmental dis- ability, alcoholism or drug abuse and which provides 24−hour care.
Inpatient facility means a hospital, long-term care facility, or facility of a hospice that provides care 24 hours a day.
