Inpatient means an Insured Person who is Confined.
Inpatient means a person who is admitted to a hospital or other licensed healthcare facility for care, and is classified as inpatient. You are not inpatient when you are in a hospital or other health care facility solely for observation, even though you may use a bed or stay overnight.
