Inpatient pharmacy definition

Inpatient pharmacy means the area within a licensed institution; i.e., a hospital, or other place where patients stay at least one night, where drugs are stored and dispensed to other areas of the institution for administration to the patients by other licensed health care providers.
Inpatient pharmacy means that area of an institutional pharmacy which is engaged in the manufacture, production, sale and distribution of drugs, devices and other pharmaceutical related materials used in the diagnosis and treatment of registered inpatients of a care-giving, correctional or juvenile training institution.
