Instructor II definition

Instructor II the academic staff member possesses a Master’s degree and has relevant teaching experience, or possesses a four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and has four years of relevant teaching experience prior to appointment at this rank. Instructor III: the academic staff member possesses a Ph.D. or equivalent, and has some relevant experience, or possesses a Master’s degree and five years of relevant teaching experience prior to appointment at this rank. The ▇▇▇▇, in consultation with the appropriate department head or equivalent, shall assess professional experience, credentials, and teaching experience to determine the appropriate level of appointment.

  • The fixed-term Senior Instructor II rank will have two load options.

  • A Sessional Academic Staff Member who is appointed to be a Sessional Field Coordinator or an equivalent shall, in respect of such position, be appointed at the rank of Sessional Instructor II.

  • Fixed-term faculty members are appointed at a rank of Instructor, Senior Instructor I, or Senior Instructor II (Faculty members who hold the rank of fixed-term Assistant Professor on or before July 1, 2014, shall remain in that rank.) Reasonable assurance for fixed term faculty for the upcoming academic year will occur the last day of Winter quarter each year.

  • The faculty will be classified into seven ranks: Instructor I, Instructor II, Assistant Professor I, Assistant Professor II, Associate Professor I, Associate Professor II, and Professor.
