Insured Works definition

Insured Works means the works referred to in the Schedule and more fully specified in the contract and/or specification a copy of which has been lodged with the Administrator if required.
Insured Works shall have the meaning given to that expression in Clause 21.3
Insured Works means the work described in the Policy Schedule, which was carried out by the Contractor on Your behalf and can be evidenced by a contract and/or specification of work; and for which the Written Guarantee was issued to You in respect of.

  • The total sum insured should represent the total cost of replacement/rebuild of the Insured Works.

  • The Policy will not pay for any remedial works undertaken to the Insured Works without the prior consent of the Claims Administrator on behalf of the Insurer.

  • The Policy does not cover defects resulting from structural alterations to the Property or the reappearance of Rising Damp if the installation to cure dampness has been interfered with or altered in any way since the Insured Works were undertaken.

  • Should this occur, the Insurer shall have the option to either (a) instruct an Alternative Firm to re-treat the Insured Works within the Defined Area in accordance with the Written Guarantee; or (b) pay in cash the amount of the proven loss.

  • We will confirm to You which action is to be taken and shall arrange this on GPI’s behalf.The Duration that this Policy is Effective forSECTION 1: INSURANCE BACKED GUARANTEE COVERIn respect of the rectification of a Defect in the Insured Works; this section of cover comes into effect on the Completion Date and shall run for a period of 10 years, or the period stated in the Contractor’s Written Guarantee, whichever is the lesser of those periods.

  • On behalf of GPI, We agree to indemnify You in respect of the cost of making good a breach of the Building Regulations in the Insured Works where the Contractor has Ceased Trading and is consequently unable to rectify such a breach of the Building Regulations.

  • In the event the Tenant fails to insure the Insured Works in accordance with its obligations pursuant to this Clause the Developer shall be entitled (but not obliged) to insure or cause to be insured the Insured Works (so far as the same are from time to time built and excluding Tenant’s furniture and contents) against the Insured Risks.

More Definitions of Insured Works

Insured Works means the works undertaken at the Property as referred to in the Certificate of Insurance and more fully specified in the written contract between the Policyholder and the Beneficiary, a copy of which must be retained by the Beneficiary and produced to the Insurer in the event of a claim.
Insured Works means the works described on the Certificate of Insurance.

Related to Insured Works

  • covered work means either the unmodified Program or a work based on the Program.

  • Licensee Improvements means any enhancement to or modification or improvement of the Licensed Patents and/or the Proprietary Information created by or on behalf of Licensee and/or any of its subsidiaries.

  • The Works means the work or works to be executed or done under this contract.

  • Work/ works means work / works to be executed in accordance with the contract.

  • Leased worker means a person leased to you by a labor leasing firm under an agreement between you and the labor leasing firm, to perform duties related to the conduct of your business. "Leased worker" does not include a "temporary worker".

  • Substantial improvement means any combination of repairs, reconstruction, rehabilitation, addition, or other improvement of a structure, taking place during any one-year period for which the cost equals or exceeds 50 percent of the market value of the structure before the “start of construction” of the improvement. This term includes structures which have incurred “substantial damage”, regardless of the actual repair work performed. The term does not, however, include either:

  • Installation Works means, as the context so requires,

  • University premises means buildings or grounds owned, leased, operated, controlled, or supervised by Wayne State University or Wayne Housing Authority.

  • Trade Fixtures means Lessee’s machinery and equipment that can be removed without doing material damage to the Premises. The term “Alterations” shall mean any modification of the improvements, other than Utility Installations or Trade Fixtures, whether by addition or deletion. “Lessee Owned Alterations and/or Utility Installations” are defined as Alterations and/or Utility Installations made by Lessee that are not yet owned by Lessor pursuant to Paragraph 7.4(a).

  • Tenant Improvement Work means the construction of the Tenant Improvements, together with any related work (including demolition) that is necessary to construct the Tenant Improvements.

  • Urgent Works means any urgent measures, which in the opinion of the Engineer-in-charge become necessary during the progress of the work to obviate any risk of accident or failure or which become necessary for security.

  • Continuous Improvement Plan means a plan for improving the provision of the Goods and/or Services and/or reducing the Charges produced by the Supplier pursuant to Framework Schedule 12 (Continuous Improvement and Benchmarking);

  • University property means premises owned, controlled or occupied by the University in the UK which are made available for use by the Supplier or its sub-contractors for provision of the Services (or any of them) on the terms set out in this Contract or any separate agreement or licence.

  • Contractor Intellectual Property means any intellectual property owned by Contractor and developed independently from the Services.

  • Demolition works means any physical activity to tear down or break up a structure (or part thereof) or surface, or the like, and includes the loading of demolition waste and the unloading of plant or machinery.

  • Construction Works means all works and things necessary to complete the Project in accordance with this Agreement;

  • Home improvement contractor or "contractor" means a person who sells goods and services, or agrees to furnish or render services, to a retail buyer pursuant to a home improvement installment contract, or sells goods and services to a retail buyer pursuant to a home improvement charge agreement, but not in connection with construction of new homes.

  • Improvement Costs means any additional expenditure on a fixed asset that materially increases the capacity of the asset or materially improves its functioning or represents more than 10% of the initial depreciation base of the asset;

  • Leasehold Improvements means all buildings, structures, improvements and fixtures located on any Leased Real Property which are owned by any Group Company, regardless of whether title to such buildings, structures, improvements or fixtures are subject to reversion to the landlord or other third party upon the expiration or termination of the Lease for such Leased Real Property.

  • Joint Improvements means (a) any and all Improvements to the Acceleron Technology created, conceived or reduced to practice, and, in the case of patentable Improvements, Invented, solely by Celgene, its Affiliates, agents or by Third Parties acting on their behalf, while performing activities under this Agreement; and (b) any and all Improvements to the Acceleron Technology or Joint Technology created, conceived or reduced to practice, and, in the case of patentable Improvements, Invented, jointly by Acceleron and Celgene, their respective Affiliates, agents or Sublicensees or by Third Parties acting on their behalf, while performing activities under this Agreement; provided, however, that Joint Improvements shall not include any Improvement that is a Celgene Improvement or Acceleron Improvement.

  • Current significant investigative information means investigative information that a licensing board, after an inquiry or investigation that includes notification and an opportunity for the audiologist or speech-language pathologist to respond, if required by state law, has reason to believe is not groundless and, if proved true, would indicate more than a minor infraction.

  • The Works/ Project means the works to be executed or done under this contract.

  • Minimum Improvements means the acquisition of land and construction of a 152-unit market rate residential apartment building, construction of a stormwater pond and related improvements. The Minimum Improvements are more fully depicted in Exhibit B, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.

  • Tenant Improvements Defined in Exhibit B, if any.

  • Site Improvements means any construction work on, or improvement to, streets, roads, parking facilities, sidewalks, drainage structures and utilities.

  • Needs Improvement the Educator’s performance on a standard or overall is below the requirements of a standard or overall, but is not considered to be unsatisfactory at this time. Improvement is necessary and expected. Unsatisfactory: the Educator’s performance on a standard or overall has not significantly improved following a rating of needs improvement, or the Educator’s performance is consistently below the requirements of a standard or overall and is considered inadequate, or both.
