International Clearance definition

International Clearance means the formal process under World Rugby Regulation 4 and Scottish Domestic Regulation 4.2 (Clearance to Play in another Union) whereby a Player is granted permission by both Unions to change the Union within which they are registered to play.
International Clearance means an official clearance given by the NZRU for a Player to be available to play rugby in a National Union other than New Zealand;

  • International Clearances are a requirement under the IRB regulations and it is the Clubs responsibility to ensure the International Clearance form is completed and has been signed by the player.
