K-12 Teachers definition

K-12 Teachers refers to educators in multiple title codes in the Unit 18 Faculty bargaining unit including pre-K at UCLA Lab School. Additionally, references to Unit 18 Faculty throughout this Side Letter Agreement include K-12 teachers, unless specifically excluded.
K-12 Teachers include any full or part-time teacher, or long-term substitute employed in an instructional classification at a campus operated by the Employer serving students enrolled in Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade.

  • A duty-free lunch period and preparation time as provided in Article 7, Days and Hours of Employment for K-12 Teachers.

  • Thursday, September 1 Professional Development/Process Check Day: No Students Friday, September 2 Labor Day Recess Monday, September 5 Labor Day Recess Tuesday, September 6 Classes morning only (K-12); Teachers work day in afternoon.
