Leave Request definition

Leave Request. Any application for leave except sick or emergency leave shall be 28 in writing and on the form provided by the Board and submitted when feasible 29 at least five (5) days in advance. Such application for leave shall be submitted to the 30 principal or other immediate supervisor of the teacher for consideration of a 31 recommendation to the Superintendent for approval or disapproval. Leave granted 32 for a school year or for the remaining part thereof will expire at the end of the 33 contract year of the teacher for which such leave is granted. 35 (5) Return from Extended Leave: A teacher having been granted leave for the school 36 year or for the remaining part thereof, who desires to return to duty the next school 37 year, shall so notify the Superintendent in writing by April 1. Upon the return of the 1 employee on leave, the replacement employee shall be placed in a similar or 2 comparable position with the District.

  • The employee shall be required to provide the information requested on the Departmental Leave Request Form attached to this Agreement as Exhibit D.

  • A unit member who meets the eligibility requirements for catastrophic leave may request donation(s) of sick leave from the Catastrophic Leave Bank by submitting a “Catastrophic Leave Request for Withdrawal Form” to the Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources.

  • The employee shall be required to provide the information requested on the Departmental Leave Request Form attached to this Agreement as Exhibit E.

Related to Leave Request

  • Interest Period means the period beginning on (and including) the Interest Commencement Date and ending on (but excluding) the first Interest Payment Date and each successive period beginning on (and including) an Interest Payment Date and ending on (but excluding) the next succeeding Interest Payment Date.

  • Documentation means SAP's then-current technical and functional documentation as well as any roles and responsibilities descriptions, if applicable, for the Cloud Service which is made available to Customer with the Cloud Service.

  • Working Day means a day (other than a Saturday or Sunday) on which banks are open for business in the City of London.

  • Work means all Services to be performed, goods to be delivered, and any appurtenant actions performed, and items produced, conceived, or developed, including Deliverables.

  • Effective Date has the meaning set forth in the preamble.

  • Specifications means the Specifications of the Works included in the Contract and any modification or addition made or approved by the Project Manager.

  • Disability means total and permanent disability as defined in Section 22(e)(3) of the Code.

  • Commencement Date means the date of this Agreement;

  • Days means calendar days unless otherwise specified.

  • Written or “in writing” means handwritten in ink or any form of electronic or mechanical writing.

  • Interest Payment Date when used with respect to any Security, means the Stated Maturity of an installment of interest on such Security.

  • Notice means notice in writing;

  • Applicant shall have the meaning given to such term in Section 5.10.

  • Force Majeure Event means an event, or a series of related events, that is outside the reasonable control of the party affected (including failures of the internet or any public telecommunications network, hacker attacks, denial of service attacks, virus or other malicious software attacks or infections, power failures, industrial disputes affecting any third party, changes to the law, disasters, explosions, fires, floods, riots, terrorist attacks and wars);

  • Day means calendar day.

  • Site means the place or places where the permanent Works are to be carried out including workshops where the same is being prepared.

  • Plan means any employee pension benefit plan (other than a Multiemployer Plan) subject to the provisions of Title IV of ERISA or Section 412 of the Code or Section 302 of ERISA, and in respect of which the Borrower or any ERISA Affiliate is (or, if such plan were terminated, would under Section 4069 of ERISA be deemed to be) an “employer” as defined in Section 3(5) of ERISA.

  • Subcontractor means any supplier, distributor, vendor, or firm that furnishes supplies or services to or for a prime contractor or another subcontractor.

  • Contractor means the individual or entity, that has entered into this contract with the Commonwealth.

  • Employer as defined in Section 3(5) of ERISA.

  • Maturity Date shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Exhibit A.

  • Business Day means any day except any Saturday, any Sunday, any day which is a federal legal holiday in the United States or any day on which banking institutions in the State of New York are authorized or required by law or other governmental action to close.

  • Customer means the State agency or other entity identified in a contract as the party to receive commodities or contractual services pursuant to a contract or that orders commodities or contractual services via purchase order or other contractual instrument from the Contractor under the Contract. The “Customer” may also be the “Buyer” as defined in the PUR 1001 if it meets the definition of both terms.

  • Force Majeure means an event beyond the control of the supplier and not involving the supplier’s fault or negligence and not foreseeable. Such events may include, but is not restricted to, acts of the purchaser in its sovereign capacity, wars or revolutions, fires, floods, epidemics, quarantine restrictions and freight embargoes.

  • Secretary means the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services or his designee.

  • Relevant Period means the period from the passing of this resolution until whichever is the earliest of:
