Light Industrial zone definition
Light Industrial zone means a zone designated as such on the map;
Light Industrial zone means an area classified as a Light Industrial Zone under the Town Planning Scheme;
Light Industrial zone means all those areas designated as Light Industrial districts according to Title 19 and including those areas zoned "D" and "I‑1."

The purpose of the Light Industrial zone district is to provide for areas for industrial uses which, by their nature, have minimal detrimental effect beyond the zone district in which they are located, and do not constitute a detriment to the public health or welfare by reason of smoke, radiation, noise, dust, odor, gas, glare, vibration, particulate matter, water pollution or the use of toxic and or hazardous chemicals.
All other uses listed as Permitted (P) in the Land Use Schedule for the M-1 (Light Industrial) zone shall be listed as Special-Use (S) and shall require approval through the Special- Use Permit process.
