Limited Private Use means private usage of a Council vehicle which incurs minimal additional expense to Council and is infrequent and brief.

Limited Private Use is defined as a 50km radius from the employeesplace of residence. Prior Management approval is required if this range is to be exceeded. It is the employee responsibility to advise their manager if their license is about to or has been suspended or cancelled. On vehicle inspections by Field Managers, you may be required to provide evidence of your license points to ensure you have a valid license or are nearing the suspension or cancellation of licence. On a case by case basis; employees who declare that they are about to lose licence or suspension – dormakaba will take into consideration circumstances and alternative arrangements proposed by the employee to retain them during period of suspension or cancellation. The vehicle is to be kept clean and serviced. Maintenance is to be carried out in accordance with the Log Book or as recommended by the selling dealer during the warranty period or the garage nominated by the Company. The upkeep of the vehicle will be undertaken during normal working hours. The dormakaba Motor Vehicle Policy Revision 001 will apply in respect to all matters except for those stated above. For the life of this agreement the insurance excess will be capped at $1,000. The Company will reimburse employees when they are required to transfer during the course of the day after the commencement of work and are then required to use metered or voucher parking during that day for work purposes. Upon receipt of the employee’s parking vouchers the Company will make reimbursement. Where possible, a parking card will be provided to technicians who primarily work in the CBD. Although company usage of private vehicle is unlikely; if a technician is required to use their own vehicle for work purposes, the technician will be reimbursed according to ATO rates for KM usage when approved by manager.
Limited Private Use means no private use other than work related travel (travel to and from work) of the employee and private use by the employee that is minor, infrequent and irregular and approved by management.
