Local Foods. Stage: Chef demonstrations throughout the day • Kids Stage: Children’s activities will be presented continuously
Local Foods means food grown, packaged, or processed in Virginia or grown, packaged, or processed within 400 miles of the point of distribution.
Local Foods means any food or food product that is grown, produced, or processed by individuals who sell directly to their patrons through farm- based sales or buying clubs,at farmers markets, roadside stands, fundraisers or at community social events.

More Definitions of Local Foods

Local Foods means those food items grown, caught, or processed in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Examples are fruits and vegetables grown locally; fish caught locally; beef and dairy products, poultry and eggs, pork and other meats obtained from animals raised in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands; as well as bread and bakery products processed in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Local Foods means any food or food product that is grown, produced or processed by individuals on a Family Farm within the Town of Troy, which is sold directly to patrons through Family Farm-based sales, private agreement, or private food buying clubs. The point of sale of all Local Foods shall be the family farm where the Local Foods are grown, produced or processed.

  • Medical Foods means any nutritional substances in any form that are:

  • medical food means a food that is intended for the dietary treatment of a disease or condition for which nutritional requirements are established by medical evaluation and is formulated to be consumed or administered enterally under the direction of a Practitioner.

  • Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) means a vehicle that is similar to a Hybrid but is equipped with a larger, more advanced battery that allows the vehicle to be plugged in and recharged in addition to refueling with gasoline. This larger battery allows the car to be driven on a combination of electric and gasoline fuels.

  • Tire means a continuous solid or pneumatic rubber covering encircling the wheel of a tractor or other farm machinery or of a vehicle.

  • Fat wood means pieces of wood kindling with high naturally-occurring levels of sap or resin which enhance ignition of the kindling. “Fat wood” does not include any kindling with substances added to enhance flammability, such as wax-covered or wax-impregnated wood-based products.

  • Special food product means a food product that is all of the following:

  • Tobacco-related devices means cigarette papers or pipes for smoking or other devices intentionally designed or intended to be used in a manner which enables the chewing, sniffing, smoking, or inhalation of vapors of tobacco or tobacco products. Tobacco-related devices include components of tobacco-related devices which may be marketed or sold separately.

  • All-Electric means powered exclusively by electricity provided by a battery, fuel cell, or the grid.

  • Bulk Electric System shall have the meaning provided for in the NERC Glossary of Terms used in Reliability Standards, as it may be amended, supplemented, or restated from time to time.

  • Chain pharmacy warehouse means a physical location for prescription drugs that acts as a central warehouse and performs intracompany sales or transfers of the prescription drugs to a group of chain pharmacies that have the same common ownership and control.
