London Allowance definition

London Allowance means the allowance paid by the Employer to its staff working in London. Management Issues: all those matters under the Employment Contract requiring action, investigation and/or decisions by the Employer including in particular (by way of illustration only and without limitation) appraisals and performance issues; pay reviews and the award of other payments and benefits under the Employment Contract; periods of annual, sick or other leave; absence of the Secondee for any other reason; any complaint about the Secondee (whether or not that would be dealt with under the Employer's disciplinary procedure) and any complaint or grievance raised by the Secondee (whether or not that would be dealt with under the Employer's grievance procedure).

Examples of London Allowance in a sentence

  • If your organisation continues to use a separate London Allowance or needs to identify it separately for payroll purposes for employees paid at spine point 50 and above, the following figures would be used.

  • No part of the London Allowance will be included for the purposes of calculating the plain time hourly rate of pay.

  • Staff who currently are in receipt of the London Allowance (but not an existing phasing out arrangement) and are not based in a London postcode area but are within the London Assembly constituency boundary will continue to receive the London Allowance for a period of three years after the location closure when it will be phased out or cease if they relocate during that period.

  • Section 6.1 of the Employment Agreement is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: “You will receive a basic salary of £130,000 (one hundred and thirty thousand pounds) per annum, which will be inclusive of a London Allowance.
