MEDI-CAL BENEFICIARY definition
MEDI-CAL BENEFICIARY means all presently enrolled California Medi-Cal recipients who are eligible to participate in the PLAN pursuant to PLAN eligibility requirements.
MEDI-CAL BENEFICIARY is a Client who is certified, pursuant to § 51002, Title 22, California Code of Regulations, as eligible for Medi-Cal. "Medi-Cal Beneficiary" also includes a person whose eligibility for Medi-Cal is not established until after inpatient services have been provided. Medi-Cal beneficiaries who are also eligible for Medicare hospital benefits under the provisions of Title XVIII of the Social Security Act, and who have not exhausted those benefits, shall not be considered "Medi-Cal Beneficiaries" within the meaning of this Contract.
