Medicaid Managed Care Program (MMCP) definition
Medicaid Managed Care Program (MMCP). A program for the provision and management of specified Medicaid services through contracted Health Maintenance Organizations. MMCP was established pursuant to the Medicaid Managed Care Amendment Act of 1992, effective March 17, 1992 (DC Law 9-247, DC Code Section 1-359) as amended. Medical Assistance Administration (MAA): The Administration within the District of Columbia Department of Health responsible for administering all Medicaid services under Title XIX (Medicaid) for eligible recipients, including the Medicaid Managed Care Program and oversight of its managed care contractors.
