Medical treatment program means a treatment program based on a successful medical model that has been proven to re- duce recidivism, and that may include treat- ment by prescribed medication when recommended by a qualified psychiatrist or physician, psychological treatment, or both. Any treatment administered under a medical treatment program must be within the range of treatments generally recognized as ac- ceptable within the medical community.
