Minutiae definition

Minutiae means major features of a fingerprint, using which comparisons of one print with another can be made. Minutiae include: Ridge ending, Ridge bifurcation, Short ridge or independent ridge, Island, Ridge enclosure, Spur, Crossover or bridge, Delta, Core.
