Most Responsible Physician definition

Most Responsible Physician. MRP” - means the attending physician who is primarily responsible for the day to day care of the patient in hospital. In cases of unusual severity where the consultant assumes the role of the most responsible physician, the consultant may claim hospital subsequent visits (B5(a)ii) and the family physician may claim supportive care (B5(a)v). Where the family physician remains the most responsible physician and requests only a consultation, the family physician may claim hospital subsequent visits and the consultant may claim a consultation only.
