A Construction and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Plan must be provided by the Developer to the Building and Public Works Departments for approval prior to start of construction.
If the Contractor proposes to deviate from the approved MOT Plan for a VDOT road, it shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to coordinate and obtain approval directly from VDOT prior to implementing any changes.
If FDOT standard details are not used, a Professional Engineer licensed in Florida shall prepare the MOT Plan.
The MOT Plan shall be prepared by a Florida MOT Certified Technician if FDOT standard details are used.
If the Contractor proposes to deviate from the approved MOT Plan for a County road, it shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to coordinate and obtain approval from the County Project Manager prior to implementing any changes.

The document review will include miscellaneous submittals, such as; schedule of values, Quality Assurance Plan, MOT Plan, Safety Plan, Pollution Prevention Plan, Phasing Plan, Design-Builder’s list of sub-contractors and suppliers, as well as compliance submittals, such as; shop drawings, inspections and testing reports.
If the C o n t r a c t o r proposes to deviate from the approved MOT Plan for a County road, it shall be the Contractor’s responsibility to provide updated MOT plan(s) signed and sealed by a licensed engineer, to coordinate and obtain approval from t h e County Project Officer Two ( 2) weeks prior to implementing any changes and this work s h a l l b e at no cost to the C o unt y .
