Municipal AENGLC definition

Municipal AENGLC means the AENGLC of a municipality, but if no AENGLC is determined for the municipality, then it is the AENGLC of the town in which the municipality is located.

  • municipal area means the area of jurisdiction of the municipality demarcated in terms of the Local Government: Municipal Demarcation Act 1998 (Act No 27 of 1998);

  • Municipal bond means a bond or evidence of indebtedness issued by a municipality or other political subdivision of a state.

  • Municipal Engineer means the engineer for the Municipality or such person or persons designated in writing from time to time by the Municipality.

  • Municipal waste means solid waste that includes garbage, refuse, and trash generated by households, motels, hotels, and recreation facilities, by public and private facilities, and by commercial, wholesale, and private and retail businesses. The term does not include special waste or industrial waste.

  • Municipal Bonds means "Municipal Bonds" as defined in the Corporation's Registration Statement on Form N-2 (File No. 333-_____) relating to the AMPS on file with the Securities and Exchange Commission, as such Registration Statement may be amended from time to time, as well as short-term municipal obligations, High Yield Municipal Bonds and Inverse Floaters.

  • Municipal tariff means a tariff for services which a municipality may set for the provision of a service to the local community, and includes a surcharge on such tariff;

  • municipal council or "council" means the council of a municipality referred to in section 18 of the Municipal Structures Act;

  • Municipal means of or relating to a municipality.

  • municipal service means a service that a municipality in terms of its powers and functions provides or may provide to or for the benefit of the local community irrespective of whether-

  • Covered Municipal Building means a building or facility that is owned or occupied by the Village that is 1,000 square feet or larger in size.

  • Municipal electric utility means a municipal corporation that owns or operates facilities to generate, transmit, or distribute electricity.

  • Municipal security means a secu- rity that is a direct obligation of or issued by, or an obligation guaranteed as to principal or interest by, a State or any political subdivision thereof, or any agency or instrumentality of a State or any political subdivision thereof, or any municipal corporate in- strumentality of one or more States or political subdivisions thereof.

  • Municipal Finance Management Act means the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No. 56 of 2003);

  • Municipal entity means (a) a company, co-operative, trust, fund or any other corporate entity established in terms of any applicable national or provincial legislation, and which operates under the ownership control of one or more municipalities; or (b) a service utility.

  • Basic Municipal Service means a municipal service that is necessary to ensure an acceptable and reasonable quality of life and which, if not provided, would endanger public health or safety or the environment;

  • municipal services means services provided either by the municipality, or by an external agent on behalf of the municipality in terms of a service delivery agreement.

  • Sanitary sewer authority means the department, agency, or public entity with responsibility to review and approve the feasibility of sanitary sewer services or onsite wastewater systems.

  • Municipal Government Act means the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, c M-26;

  • Municipal Pay Point means any municipal office in the area of jurisdiction of the Municipality designated by Council for such purposes, or any such other places as the Chief Financial Officer may from time to time designate.

  • Municipal corporation means, in general terms, a status conferred upon a local government unit, by state law giving the unit certain autonomous operating authority such as the power of taxation, power of eminent domain, police power and regulatory power, and includes a joint economic development district or joint economic development zone that levies an income tax under section 715.691, 715.70, 715.71, or 715.74 of the Ohio Revised Code.

  • local municipality means a municipality that shares municipal executive and legislative authority in its area with a district municipality within whose area it falls, and which is described in section 155(1) of the Constitution as a category B municipality;

  • Basic municipal services means a municipal service necessary to ensure an acceptable and reasonable quality of life, which service – if not provided – would endanger public health or safety or the environment.
