Native Load definition

Native Load of a system means the internal load minus interruptible loads.

Native Load means the demand imposed on an electric utility or an entity by the requirements of retail customers located within a franchised service territory that the electric utility or entity has statutory obligation to serve.

Native Load means load attributable to customers on whose behalf the potential supplier, by statute, franchise, or regu- latory requirement, has undertaken an obligation to construct and operate its system to meet their electricity needs.

Examples of Native Load in a sentence

• Under this process (i) Grandfathered External Installed Capacity Agreements listed in Attachment E of the ISO Installed Capacity Manual, and (ii) the Existing Transmission Capacity for Native Load listed for New York State Electric & Gas Corporation in Table 3 of Attachment L to the ISO OATT, will be considered deliverable within the Rest of State.

• To the extent such External Installed Capacity corresponds to Existing Transmission Capacity for Native Load as reflected in Table 3 of Attachment L to the ISO OATT, these External Installed Capacity rights will continue without term and shall be allocated to the LSE’s retail access customers in accordance with the LSE’s retail access program on file with the PSC and subject to any necessary filings with the Commission.

• Additionally, any of the Existing Transmission Capacity for Native Load listed for New York State Electric & Gas Corporation not utilized by New York State Electric & Gas Corporation for a Capability Period will be made available to other external resources for that Capability Period, pursuant to ISO procedures, to the extent the unutilized amount is determined to be deliverable within the Rest of State Capacity Region.

• Any redispatch under this Section may not unduly discriminate between the Transmission Owner's use of the NYS Transmission System on behalf of its Native Load Customers and any Network Customer's use of the NYS Transmission System to serve its designated Network Load.

• Existing Transmission Capacity for Native Load (“ETCNL”): Transmission capacity identified on a Transmission Owner’s transmission system to serve the Native Load customers of the current Transmission Owners (as of the filing date of the original ISO Tariff‑January 31, 1997) for the purposes of allocating revenues from the sale of TCCs related to that capacity.

• Any Curtailment of Network Integration Transmission Service will be not unduly discriminatory relative to the Transmission Owners’ use of the NYS Transmission System on behalf of its Native Load Customers.

• To the extent such External Installed Capacity corresponds to Existing Transmission Capacity for Native Load as reflected in Table 3 of Attachment L to the ISO OATT, these External Installed Capacityrights will continue without term and shall be allocated to the LSE’s retail access customers in accordance with the LSE’s retail access program on file with the PSC and subject to any necessary filings with the Commission.

• The ISO will provide Firm Transmission Service over the NYS Transmission System to the Network Customer for the delivery of Energy from its designated Network Resources to serve its Network Loads on a basis that is comparable to the Transmission Owner’s use of the NYS Transmission System to reliably serve its Native Load Customers.

• The Transmission Owner, on behalf of its Native Load Customers, shall be required to designate resources and Loads in the same manner as any Network Customer under Part 4 of this Tariff.

• Network Integration Transmission Service allows the Network Customer to integrate, economically dispatch and regulate its current and planned Network Resources to serve its Network Load in a manner comparable to that in which the individual Transmission Owner utilizes their respective transmission systems to serve their Native Load Customers.

More Definitions of Native Load

Native Load has the meaning given in Section 4.3. 

Native Load means the load of a Party's Retail Native Load Customers and the retail load of its wholesale customers or its wholesale customers' members served by the Party, directly or indirectly, at Native Load Priority.

Native Load means the amount of energy used to serve retail customers located in CWLP’s service area.

Native Load means the wholesale and retail power customers of the Party on whose behalf the Party, by statute, franchise, regulatory requirement or contract, has undertaken an obligation to construct and operate the Party’s system to meet the reliable electric needs of such customers.
