Nearshore definition

Nearshore means the area beginning at the crest of coastal bluffs and extending seaward through the marine photics zone, and to the head of tide in coastal rivers and streams. "Nearshore" also means both shoreline and estuaries.
Nearshore means the estuarine delta/marine shoreline and areas of shallow water from the top of the coastal bank or bluffs to the water at a depth of about 10 meters relative to mean lower low water.
Nearshore means either nearshore environment or nearshore habitat and refers generally to an area along the Puget Sound shoreline that extends from the top of bluffs or upland area immediately adjacent to the beach to the point where sunlight penetrates marine waters to a depth where aquatic plant life is supported.
