Network Access Device definition

Network Access Device means a device that enables communication: (1) between communication devices (e.g. telephones or video conference devices) and network equipment and services in Wide Area Networks (WAN) over a physical connection, and/or (2) between Local Area Networks (LAN) connected to data network devices (e.g. PCs) and network equipment and services in Wide Area Networks (WAN) over a single physical connection.
Network Access Device or "NAD" means WAM!NET equipment and Software --------------------- --- that is installed on a customer's premises, that is connected to a HUB and that allows (a) a customer to deliver data from its own computer or computer network into the NAD for transmission through the WAM!NET Network to another NAD, or (ii) a customer to receive data onto its own computer or computer network through the WAM!NET Network from a remote NAD.
