The perceptions of potential applicants are canvassed through a broad programme of Outreach activities in the community and through events hosted by the University such as Open Days, Applicants Days, and Taster Days for different disciplines.
Support for Parents/Carers To complement the student experiences we have devised the following support specifically for parents/carers: • Parents’ evenings • Information, Advice and Guidance sessions • Campus visits for parents • Open Days • UCAS parent workshops • Parent/Carer student finance events This collaboration encourages dialogue around progression routes between parents/carers and their children and gives them confidence to support their child through the minefield of choices and decisions.
These arrangements are also included within our Financial Advice and Support talk at Open Days.

This will include a summer school at Salisbury and two HE Open Days at each campus per year.

We know from the level of interest in previous Open Days for mature learners that there is a great appetite for enrolment to part-time courses which enable learners to balance work, family and study commitments.
One-to-one support is also available at Open Days, which is most important for mature students.
We also provide funding talks during RHUL Open Days and UCAS Days, and in schools and colleges, helping prospective students and their advisers to understand the financial implications of entering higher education and the financial help available.
