Operating Theatre definition

Operating Theatre means any facility designated for and equipped to perform surgical operations or procedures, and have satisfied at least equivalent to the requirements stipulated in the Code of Practice for Day Procedure Centres or the Code of Practice for Hospitals issued by the Director of Health in Hong Kong, or any other applicable code of practice or regulation pursuant to the Private Healthcare Facilities Ordinance (Chapter 633, Laws of Hong Kong).

Examples of Operating Theatre in a sentence

  • The amount payable under this Benefit shall be equal to the actual charges for the use of the operating room and equipment used in the Operating Theatre of a Hospital to perform the surgical operation or procedure, but in no event exceed for any one operation the applicable Maximum Limit of Operating Theatre Fees Benefit for the relevant classification of surgical operation.

  • This Benefit shall be payable for the use of the Operating Theatre which is Medically Necessary for the carrying out of any surgical procedure in a Hospital, provided that the Surgeon and Attendance Fees Benefit is also payable for the same operation under this Contract.
