Operational Permit definition

Operational Permit means an operational permit (decyzja zezwalająca na eksploatację) issued by the President of the Technical Supervision Office (Transportowy Dozór Techniczny) or other relevant Statutory Authority in respect of the Equipment or any part of the Works in respect of which such a permit is required pursuant to the applicable Laws.

Operational Permit means any permit for purposes of petroleum exploration, drilling, development and production; “Outer Continental Shelf” means the outer continental shelf as defined in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea or all submerged lands seaward and outside the area of lands beneath navigable waters; “permit” means an authorisation granted to a person to enable the carrying out of any activity in the upstream petroleum operations in accordance with this Act but shall exclude the petroleum agreement; “person” means any natural or juridical person; “petroleum” means all hydrocarbons and includes crude oil and natural gas, whether capable of being produced from conventional and unconventional reservoirs, including shale oil, oil shale, shale gas, coal bed methane gas, tar sands, and other sources of hydrocarbon reserves; “petroleum agreement” means any agreement, license or contract or other arrangement between the Government and a contractor and/or amongst contractors to conduct operations in accordance with the provisions of this Act, which may include: (a) production sharing contracts; (b) concession agreements; and (c) service contracts; “Petroleum Institutions” means entities established to provide structured and efficient systems to define functions and provide oversight in the operations and management of the Upstream Petroleum Industry in Kenya as provided for under Part III of this Act; “pipeline” means a pipe or system of pipes that is used or to be used for the transportation of petroleum and any apparatus and works associated therewith, including— (a) apparatus for inducing or facilitating the flow of petroleum through the pipe or system of pipes; (b) valves, valve chambers, manholes, inspection pits and similar works, being works annexed to, or incorporated in the course of the pipe or system of pipes;

  • The County shall notify the Service Provider that a permit application was received which would require an Operational Permit be issued by the Service Provider.
