OVERFLOW TANK definition

OVERFLOW TANK means a tank used for temporary storage of substances in response to a leak, spill or other unplanned occurrence. This tank must be emptied expeditiously following use.
OVERFLOW TANK means a tank that accepts the contents that flow out when the amount of contents such as fuel oil tank overflows beyond the specified value.

  • Underground storage tank or “UST” means any one or combination of tanks (including underground pipes connected thereto) that is used to contain an accumulation of regulated substances, and the volume of which (including the volume of underground pipes connected thereto) is 10 percent or more beneath the surface of the ground.
