Overtime assignment definition

Overtime assignment means an assignment of hours for which overtime compensation is required under this act.
Overtime assignment. Overtime shall be assigned by seniority in the position classifications regularly assigned to the performance of the work and by designated units, i.e., xxxx, program, work location, facility, etc., mutually agreed to at the facility level.
Overtime assignment is any duty or responsibility assigned to a unit member in addition to his/her regular assignment which results in the unit member working in excess of eight hours in a day or 40 hours in a week, or in excess of 10 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week for employees assigned to work a four days-a-week/10 hours-a-day work schedule. If a unit member is required to work overtime to complete his/her regular assignment, such work shall not be treated as an extra duty assignment or an overtime assignment.
