Party to the Protocol definition

Party to the Protocol means a State for which this Protocol is in force;
Party to the Protocol means a State for which this Protocol, or this Protocol as amended, as the case may be, is in force;

Examples of Party to the Protocol in a sentence

  • In the event of breach of the Protocol attached to this Treaty by a State Party to the Protocol, the Executive Committee shall convene a special meeting of the Commission to decide on appropriate measures to be taken.

  • After the entry into force of this Amendment, as provided under paragraph 1, it shall enter into force for any other Party to the Protocol on the ninetieth day following the date of deposit of its instrument of ratification, acceptance or approval.

  • Amendments shall enter into force for each Party to the Protocol accepting the amendments upon their acceptance by two-thirds of the Parties to the Protocol and thereafter for each remaining Party to the Protocol on the date of acceptance by it.

  • This will be the case where the Office of origin (see items 1 and 3) is the Office of a Contracting Party which is bound by both the Madrid Agreement and the Protocol, and where the international application designates at least one Contracting State party to the Agreement but not to the Protocol and at least one Contracting Party to the Protocol, irrespective of whether or not that Contracting Party is also party to the Agreement.

  • No decision has been taken yet on whether New Zealand will become Party to the Protocol.

  • Further, the provisions of paragraphs (a), (d), (e) and (f) of paragraph (1) shall not apply in relations between a Party to the Protocol and its nationals or permanent residents.

  • Each Contracting State Party to the Protocol shall undertake not to use or threaten to use nuclear explosive devices within the Northeast Asia Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone.

  • Each Party to the Protocol retains the right to take all precautionary measures necessary in the interest of its security.

  • TOPIA 2006 provides for shipowners to indemnify the Supplementary Fund for 50% of the compensation it pays under the 2003 Supplementary Fund Protocol for pollution damage caused by tankers in States Party to the Protocol.

  • Each Contracting State Party to the Protocol shall undertake to notify in advance and to have a prior consultation for approval with the concerned Intrazonal States when a Contracting State Party to the Protocol wants its ships or aircraft carrying any nuclear explosive devices to visit any ports or airfields located inside Intrazonal States, to transit their territorial airspace, or to navigate territorial seas in a manner not covered by the rights of innocent passage or transit passage of straits.
