The inventor must assign to the University any interest in the patent equivalent to the property interest which the Patent Officer determines to belong to the University or which is required by Section 14.210, 1 and 2.
The University Patent Officer may advise, but not require, deferral of publication in order to protect the patent rights of the University and the inventor.
