Payroll officer definition

Payroll officer means any person authorized to disburse funds in payment of state salaries or wages to state officers and employees.
Payroll officer means a person who in addition to the duties of a Payroll Clerk will be required to have a working knowledge of relevant Enterprise Agreements, Industrial Awards, Employment Agreements, Regulations and Acts, process complex payroll and Enterprise Agreement enquiries and be capable of functioning autonomously, prioritising their own work within established policies, guidelines and procedures. Secretary/Personal Assistant means an Employee who provides secretarial support (word processing; computer related duties; reception; diary management etc.) to a manager(s). Switchboard Operator/Receptionist means a person appointed as such and whose duties include operation of the telephone switchboard, responding to enquiries from patients, visitors, doctors and employees, and other duties as directed.
