Per Diems definition

Per Diems. First date of hire in the City in a Staff Nurse classification covered by the MOU (not date of hire as P103).
Per Diems means per diem duty counsel of the Corporation;
Per Diems means the amount paid per day, or per portion of a day, to members of Council to attend meetings, travel, attend workshops, conferences, etc., but excluding any sporting events and/or social gatherings.

Examples of Per Diems in a sentence

  • A work unit which hires and maintains its own pools of Per Diems and maintains its own Per Diem seniority roster.

  • This provision does not affect the Medical Center’s right to hire and use Per Diems.

  • Per Diems will only be expected to work the hours that they made themselves available for.

  • If an employee is absent from his/her official station and traveling to the fire or other emergency site, the employee will receive a meal allowance consistent with sections titled (Meal Per Diem During Non-Overnight Travel) and (Adjustments to Per Diems) of Department of Administrative Services Travel Policy.

  • Per Diems do not need to be acquitted however the Contractor shall only claim per diem in accordance with the rules set out in the Guidebook, and the claim must be accompanied by written confirmation from the Project Overseer.

  • Per Diems hired after September 15, 1996 must agree to work at least two (2) of the six (6) legal holidays, including one (1) major holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, or the Fourth of July).

Related to Per Diems

  • Per diem means a period of 7.5 hours of actual work per day. Where actual hours worked are less than 7.5 hours per day, the amount to be paid will be prorated accordingly;

  • Travel Expenses means any costs incurred by Licensor associated with the transportation, storage or lodging of equipment, supplies, Licensor employees and other items necessary for business use from Licensor headquarters to Licensee’s facilities. Travel expenses may include, but are not limited to airfare, hotel costs, and meals if applicable. Any travel expenses paid by the Licensee shall be paid at allowable government travel rates consistent with Management Directive 230.10, unless otherwise first approved by the Licensee’s authorized representative.

  • Travel training means providing instruction, as appropriate, to children with significant cognitive disabilities, and any other children with disabilities who require this instruction, to enable them to develop an awareness of the environment in which they live, and learn the skills necessary to move effectively and safely from place to place within that environment (e.g., in school, in the home, at work, and in the community).

  • Prime costs and “Prime cost sum” means the amount actually paid by the contractor for any article, commodity or special work and shall include all proper charges for packing, carriage and delivery to site, after deduction of all trade documents, rebates and allowances and the discount obtainable for cash insofar as such discount for cash exceeds 2½%.
