Physician or Surgeon definition

Physician or Surgeon wherever used in this Policy shall mean a medical practitioner registered under the Medical Registration Ordinance in Hong Kong.
Physician or Surgeon means any professional practitioner who holds a lawful license authorizing the person to practice medicine or surgery in the locale in which the service is rendered, limited to a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.), a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.), a Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D), who has met the standards of the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

  • Reimbursement of the Reasonable and Customary Charges of full time services of a registered Nurse for services rendered to the Insured Person who is Medically Necessary and prescribed by the attending Physician or Surgeon for the continued treatment at the Insured’s home of the specific medical condition.

  • Reimbursement of the actual charges for follow-up treatment by the same attending Physician or Surgeon up to a period of ninety (90) days immediately following discharge from Hospital or after day-surgery is performed in a Hospital.

Physician or Surgeon means a registered medical practitioner qualified and licensed to practice western medicine and who, in rendering such treatment, is practicing within the scope of his licensing and training in the geographical area of practice, but excluding doctor, physician or surgeon who is the Insured Person himself.
