Pilotage Service definition

Pilotage Service means the service given to ships by pilots and service boats,
Pilotage Service means an act, carried out by a licensed pilot or an authorised pilot, of assisting the master of a ship in navigation and manoeuvring when entering, leaving or shifting in the Port or the approaches thereto;
Pilotage Service means the act, carried out by a licensed pilot, of assisting the master of a ship in navigation and manoeuvring when entering, leaving or shifting in a port or the approaches thereto, and includes the provision of the pilot launch;

  • This Committee, inter alia, co-ordinates the arrangements for Pilotage between the three Competent Harbour Authorities in the Solent, which offer a Pilotage Service.

  • If the safety of the Pilots' boarding/landing is compromised, the Master must inform the VTS Center of the Port of Açu, with the agreement of the Pilotage Service, of his specific need not to comply with this rule.

  • The areas within which the Danish Pilotage Service shall be obliged to make pilots available are the Danish territorial waters and the Danish exclusive economic zone as well as outside these in other coastal States’ exclusive economic zones in the English Channel, the North Sea, the Skagerrak, the Kattegat and the Baltic Sea.Subsection 3.
