Portion of the Works definition

Portion of the Works means the Superintendent has directed the Contractor to carry out particular work in accordance with the Contract, such work representing a part of the total Works required under the Contract.
Portion of the Works means a part of the Works specifically identified in the Contract.
Portion of the Works means a part of the Works specifically identified in the relevant provisions of the Particular Conditions of Contract.

Examples of Portion of the Works in a sentence

  • Add the following: “Where any Portion of the Works traverses existing fences these shall be carefully uplifted, if required, and reinstated during the course of activities in that specific area.

  • The Contractor shall complete the Works and each Portion of the Works (if any) within the Completion Period(s) as specified in the Particular Conditions of Contract, except for the obligations to be carried out under the Defects Liability Period.

  • The issue of the Acceptance Certificate shall not be an admission that the Works have or any Portion of the Works has been completed in every respect.

  • Complete sets of such special tools, jigs and templates shall be used for installation of the equipment and thereafter shall be handed over to the Company at least fourteen (14) days prior to request for issue of the Acceptance Certificate related to a Portion of the Works or the entire Works.

  • Notwithstanding the above extension, in no event shall the Defects Liability Period in respect of the Works or any Portion of the Works exceed twenty-four (24) months (or such other period as stated in the Particular Conditions of Contract).
