Prehospital definition

Prehospital means emergency medical care or transportation rendered to patients prior to hospital admission or during interfacility transfer by licensed ambulance or aid service under chapter 18.73 RCW, by personnel certified to provide emergency medical care under chapters 18.71 and 18.73 RCW, or by facilities providing level V trauma care services as provided for in this chapter.
Prehospital means emergency medical care or transportation rendered to patients by emergency medical technicians prior to hospital admission.

Examples of Prehospital in a sentence

  • COUNTY shall administer and coordinate the EMS System consistent with the Emergency Medical Services System and the Prehospital Emergency Medical Care Personnel Act, codified in California Health and Safety Code Division 2.5.

  • Any transfer of a patient must be in accordance with the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (42 ▇.▇.▇ § ▇▇▇▇▇▇), the regulations promulgated thereunder, and applicable EMS Agency policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Santa ▇▇▇▇▇ County Prehospital Care Policy Manual, as amended from time to time.

  • Attend at least 50% of the EMS Agency’s regularly scheduled Prehospital Care System Quality Improvement Committee meetings and Medical Control Advisory Committee meetings.

  • As remuneration for services rendered, the Board of Education shall pay to the Superintendent: Base annual salary of $156,060.

  • Tasks: The responsibilities of the EMS agency, at a minimum, include: • Designating EMS responders including first responders, Limited Advanced Life Support (LALS)/Advanced Life Support (ALS) providers, ambulance providers, and Prehospital EMS Aircraft providers North Coast EMS designates First Responder training programs (see 2.1 above).

  • All paramedics shall be certified in either Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), or the Contractor shall document that each paramedic has satisfactorily completed comparable training approved by MVEMSA Medical Director and adequate to ensure competency in the skills included in the PHTLS or ITLS curriculum.

  • HOSPITAL shall comply with all standards criteria identified within this Agreement, as well as all applicable EMS Agency policies and procedures, as amended from time to time, including but not limited to the Santa ▇▇▇▇▇ County Prehospital Care Policy Manual.

  • Collaborate with EMS Agency Leadership and Prehospital Care Coordinators.

  • Working knowledge of COUNTY’s Prehospital Care Policy and clinical protocols.

  • Attend, or assign a representative to attend, regularly scheduled meetings of the EMS Agency’s Prehospital Care System Quality Improvement Committee, Prehospital Providers Advisory Committee, and Medical Control Advisory Committee.
