Pressure Plant definition

Pressure Plant means any unfired closed container under steam gas or fluid pressure.
Pressure Plant means the pressure vessel along with its piping and other fittings operated at a pressure greater than the atmospheric pressure;
Pressure Plant means a pressure vessel or a system or arrangement of pressure vessels and the pressure piping system used in connection with the pressure vessel or the system or arrangement of pressure vessels;

  • In respect of any boiler within the definition of Pressure Plant, which uses a heat transfer medium other than water, such heat transfer medium and its vapour shall be considered as substituted for the words “water” and “steam” wherever such words appear in the definition of Pressure Plant.

  • If the Boiler Pressure Plant covered under Item No. 1 of the Policy Schedule shall at the time of any loss be of greater value than the Sum Insured shall be considered as being the own Insurer for the difference and shall bear a rateable share of the loss accordingly.

  • In respect of any unfired vessel within the definition of Pressure Plant, which is used for the storage of gas or liquid and which is periodically filled, moved, emptied and refilled in the course of its normal service, such circumstances shall not prevent the vessel from being considered as “in use or connected for use”, for the purpose of the terms of this Policy.

  • If the Boiler Pressure Plant covered under Item No. 1 of the Policy Schedule shall at the time of any loss be of greater value than the Sum Insured, the insured shall be considered as being their own Insurer for the difference and shall bear a rateable share of the loss accordingly.The terms value shall mean the new replacement value of the Plant which is inclusive of freight dues and custom duties, if any and erection costs.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO SECTION 18: BOILERS POLICY1) The pressure or load upon the safety valves of any items of plant shall at no time exceed the maximum pressure specified in the Schedule or the permissible working pressure therefore as set out in the report on the last examination whichever is the lowest.2) If at any time after commencement of this insurance there is an alteration of fuel used other than for which the Boiler was designed, or which is used at the time of effecting the insurance, the Company shall be informed immediately of such alteration and this insurance will continue only on payment of additional premium if necessary to be fixed on the merits of each individual item.3) No admission, offer promise, payment or indemnity shall be made or given by or on behalf of the insured without the written consent of the Company who shall be entitled if they so desire to take over and conduct in the name of the Insured the defence or settlement of any claim for indemnity or damage or otherwise and shall have full discretion in the conduct of any proceeding or in the settlement of any claim and the Insured shall give all such information and assistance as the Company may require.4) Sum InsuredIf the Boiler and Pressure Plant covered under Item No. 1 of the Schedule shall at the time of any loss be of greater value than the Sum Insured then the Insured shall be considered as being the own Insurer for the difference and shall bear a rateable share of the loss accordingly.The term value shall mean the new replacement value of the Plant inclusive of freight dues and custom duties, if any and erection costs. Every item if more than one of this Policy shall be separately subject to this condition.5) Basis of Indemnity
Pressure Plant means an assembly of one or more pressure vessels and includes the engines, turbines, pressure piping systems, fittings, machinery and ancillary equipment of any kind used in connection with it or them;
