Prohibited Waste means prohibited waste as defined in Schedule “D” to this Bylaw.
Wastes means and includes any hazardous, toxic or dangerous waste, liquid, substance or material (including petroleum products and derivatives), the generation, handling, storage, disposal, treatment or emission of which is subject to any Environmental Law.
Substances means chemical elements and their compounds in the natural state or obtained by any production process, including any additive necessary to preserve the stability of the products and any impurity deriving from the process used, but excluding any solvent which may be separated without affecting the stability of the substance or changing its composition;
Hazardous Wastes means all waste materials subject to regulation under CERCLA, RCRA or applicable state law, and any other applicable Federal and state laws now in force or hereafter enacted relating to hazardous waste disposal.
Controlled dangerous substance means a drug, substance, or
Prohibited Materials means any products, substances or materials, or any combination of them which at the time of specification:
Radioactive waste means radioactive waste as defined in Article 3(7) of Council Directive 2011/70/Euratom8;
Household Hazardous Waste means any waste material derived from households (including single
toxic a “pollutant”, a “contaminant”, or words of similar meaning and regulatory effect pursuant to any Environmental Law and also including any petroleum product or by-product, asbestos-containing material, lead-containing paint, mold, polychlorinated biphenyls or radioactive materials.
prohibited goods means goods which have been, or are being, dealt with in contravention of any prohibition specified in regulation 89(2)(a) to (e);
prohibited substance means any substance so described on the Prohibited List, which appears in Annex I to this Convention.
Hazardous Waste means the substances regulated as such pursuant to any Environmental Law.
Industrial wastes means the liquid wastes from industrial manufacturing processes, trade, or business as distinct from sanitary sewage.
toxic substances as defined by the Toxic Substances Control Act, as amended from time to time (“TSCA”), (4) “hazardous materials” as defined by the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, as amended from time to time (“HMTA”), (5) asbestos, oil or other petroleum products, radioactive materials, urea formaldehyde foam insulation, radon gas and transformers or other equipment that contains dielectric fluid containing polychlorinated biphenyls and (6) any substance whose presence is detrimental or hazardous to health or the environment, including, without limitation, microbial or fungal matter or mold, or is otherwise regulated by federal, state and local environmental laws (including, without limitation, RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, HMTA), rules, regulations and orders, regulating, relating to or imposing liability or standards of conduct concerning any Hazardous Materials or environmental, health or safety compliance (collectively, “Environmental Requirements”). As used in this Contract: “Release” means spilling, leaking, pumping, pouring, emitting, emptying, discharging, injecting, escaping, leaching, dumping or disposing.
Natural radioactivity means radioactivity of naturally occurring nuclides.
Dangerous Substances means a substance or article described in regulation 3 of the Dangerous Substances Regulations;
Infectious waste means a solid waste that contains or may reasonably be
Controlled substances means those substances identified in 49 CFR 40.85. “CCF” means the Federal Drug Testing Custody and Control Form.
Pesticide means any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any pest, or intended for use as a plant regulator, defoliant, or desiccant, other than any article that:
Radioactive substance means a substance that emits ionizing
Residual radioactivity means radioactivity in structures, materials, soils, groundwater, and other media at a site resulting from activities under the licensee's control. This includes radioactivity from all licensed and unlicensed sources used by the licensee, but excludes background radiation. It also includes radioactive materials remaining at the site as a result of routine or accidental releases of radioactive material at the site and previous burials at the site, even if those burials were made in accordance with the provisions of Rule R313-15.
Prohibited Items means any items which we or any Authorised Person deem to be dangerous or inappropriate including (without limitation) those items specified in sub-paragraphs 27(b)(c) and (d) of these Conditions and any further items listed at www.snowbombing.com from time to time;
Toxic Substance includes but is not limited to asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and lead-based paints.
Hazardous Substance Activity Any storage, holding, disposal, leaching, existence, use, release, migration, emission, discharge, generation, processing, abatement, removal, repair, cleanup or detoxification, disposition, handling or transportation of any Hazardous Substance from, under, into, on or about the Property.
Extremely Hazardous Substance has the meaning set forth in Section 302 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986, as amended.
