Prosthodontics definition

Prosthodontics means that branch of dentistry concerning the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance, and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth or oral and maxillofacial tissues, or both, using biocompatible substitutes. Prosthodontics means the area of dentistry concerned with restoration and maintenance of function by providing artificial replacement for missing natural teeth.
