Protected basis definition

Protected basis means any basis or characteristic upon which discrimination is prohibited by the FEHA, the Unruh Civil Rights Act (Civ. Code, § 51), the Ralph Civil Rights Act (Civ. Code, § 51.7), or any other law the department enforces.
