Protection Transponder definition

Protection Transponder means a Replacement Transponder or Preemptible Transponder used to restore a Protected Service.
Protection Transponder means a Replacement Transponder, Preemptible Transponder or unassigned transponder used to restore a failed transponder. Where a Protection Transponder is provided on a Protection Satellite other than C-3 or C-4, it will perform to the technical specifications of that satellite and such specifications shall be substituted for those in Attachment A. Access to Protection Transponders will be in accordance with Articles 8, 9, 10 and 11. With respect to simultaneous events, priority among Protected Transponders for access to Protection Transponders shall be determined in the order of entering into binding agreements with GE Americom for purchase of or long term service on C-3 or C-4, except that as to ▇▇▇▇▇, the following companies shall be deemed to have already entered into such binding agreements: Viacom International, Inc., The Weather Channel, Inc., Hearst/ABC-Viacom Entertainment Services, The Disney Channel, Inc., Pay-Per-View Networks, Inc., CBN Family Channel, National Cable Satellite Corporation (C-SPAN), Arts and Entertainment Cable Network and Home Box Office, Inc.
Protection Transponder means a Replacement Transponder, Preemptible Transponder or unassigned transponder used to restore a Failed Transponder. Where a Protection Transponder is provided on a satellite other than C-3 or C-4, it will perform to the specifications of that satellite, and such specifications shall be substituted for those in Attachment A provided that these are not adversely and materially different from C-3, C-4, or C-1, as the case may be. Access to Protection Transponders will be in accordance with Articles 10, 11 and 12. [*]

Examples of Protection Transponder in a sentence

  • Any Transponder restoration shall be effected by SES Americom as soon as technically feasible but in any event in not more than one (1) hour after a Transponder is a Transponder Failure (provided that such one-hour obligation shall not commence until Customer has vacated use of the Transponder) and any Protection Transponder provided to Customer shall be deemed a Transponder Protected Transponder.

  • If no such Protection Transponder is available on the Satellite, Customer's Service shall not be restored.

  • If no such Protection Transponder is available on the provisioned Satellite, Client's service shall not be restored on this satellite.

  • Transponder-Protected Service or Transponder-Protected Transponder: a satellite service or transponder that my not be preempted to restore another service or transponder, that is itself entitled to be restored by Protection Transponders on the same satellite but that is not entitled to be restored if there is no such Protection Transponder available.

  • Restoration shall be effected utilizing any Protection Transponder on the Satellite, if Available.

  • If no such Protection Transponder is available on the Satellite, Customer's service shall be restored on the Restoration Satellite (as designated below), subject to and in accordance with the terms of this Article.

  • In the event that (x) the Satellite on which Transponder Service is provided to User becomes a Satellite Failure, (y) a Transponder on which Transponder Service is provided becomes a Transponder Failure that cannot be restored using a Protection Transponder, or (z) GE-2 becomes a Satellite Failure, then PBS shall provide to User and User shall take from PBS Non- Preemptible Service on one (1) Transponder on the Protection Satellite, if Available, in accordance with this Section 2.2.

  • If no such Protection Transponder is available on the Satellite, AvData's service shall not be restored and this Agreement will terminate.

  • If no such Protection Transponder is Available on the Satellite, User's service shall be restored on the Protection Satellite, if Available, in accordance with Section 2.2(a)(ii) below.

  • A "Moveable Protected Transponder" or -------------------------- "Moveable Protected Service" means a Transponder Service that, if restoration thereof is needed as a result of a Satellite Failure, or as a result of a Transponder Failure under circumstances in which no Protection Transponder is Available on the Satellite on which such Transponder Service is located, is entitled to restoration, subject to such facilities being Available, on another satellite at an orbital location at or between 85 ▇.▇.
