Examples of Provisional appointment in a sentence
Provisional appointment means a temporary appointment of a permanent employee to fill a position while the employee assigned to the position is absent (such as sick leave, vacation, leave of absence, etc.).
An employee with a Temporary appointment is eligible only for Excused Absences; an employee with a Provisional appointment is eligible only for absences classified as Excused Absence, Jury Duty, or Funeral Leave.
