public examinations. The Head may, after consultation with a parent and Pupil, decline to enter a Pupil's name for a public examination if, in the exercise of professional judgement, the Head considers that by doing so the Pupil's prospects in other examinations would be impaired and/or if the Pupil has not prepared for the examination with sufficient diligence, for example, because the Pupil has not worked or revised in accordance with advice or instruction from the staff.
