Public tow definition

Public tow means any tow of an abandoned motor vehicle requested by a police officer employed by the City. The term does not include tows requested by an owner or driver of a motor vehicle even though the tow was arranged with the assistance of a City police officer. Private tows arranged with the assistance of a City police officer include but are not limited to tows requested by an owner or driver of a motor vehicle which has been involved in an automobile accident.
