Public Utility or Utility definition

Public Utility or Utility means a facilities-based provider of wireless service to one or more end users in this state, or any company described in section 4905.03 of the Ohio Revised Code and as further defined in section 4905.02 of the Ohio Revised Code, including but not limited to the following types of companies: telephone, electric light, gas, natural gas, pipe-lines, water-works, and sewage disposal systems
Public Utility or Utility means any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization which conducts in the City a business of distributing to the citizens of Odessa electricity, gas or water or provides to the general public the service of telephone communication [or cable television,] or sewage disposal and has the right to use and occupy the City streets, alleys, and other public places in conducting such business by virtue of an existing franchise granted by the City or by the right under the City Charter.
