Range of motion definition

Range of motion or "ROM" means the extent or limit to which a part of the body can be moved around a joint or a fixed point; the totality of movement a joint is capable of doing. ROM exercises are active or passive movements to assess, maintain, or restore the motion of joints in the body. Active and passive ROM are defined as:
